Your Learning Style

Auditory: A consistent pre-shot routine that has EXACTLY the same characteristics and timing every single shot is VITAL for you. Stick to that routine no matter what the situation, how much pressure you feel, etc. Work on the swing as a whole, not in parts. Rhythm and tempo drills will help you the most. Metronomes are a great training device for you.

Kinesthetic: Work hard to find the precise body part that is your "trigger". It may be your right index finger, or how your weight feels on the inside edge of your right foot, or a certain way that your hips sit that tell you it's ready to go. You CANNOT swing, until you feel that trigger - if you haven't gotten the right feel, you aren't ready to swing. Do not worry so much about preshot routine. Spend your time finding the feel versus worrying about an exact routine.

Visual: You MUST clearly picture the shot in your head before you make any swing. Your body will react to the image that you see and create the swing needed to make it happen. Don't worry about preshot routine. Simply set up to the ball, work hard to picture your shot, and once you picture the shot, look back to the ball and hit it. React to your visual image of the shot.
